Job Introduction

We are looking for a Temporary Records Assistant within our Wayleaves Team based at Bodmin for up to 12 months, subject to review. 

You will be providing a vital clerical and administrative support service to Western Power Distribution's business and will be involved in various key activities, predominantly for Wayleaves however could also include work in the following areas - New Supplies, Street Lighting, Street Works, Data Network Errors, IT Data Updating, Contact Centre Support and stopping up orders.

You will need to have at least 4 GCSEs OR equivalent in order to apply. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

*Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant training is complete.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating Wayleave agreement details and all associated Records Systems
  • Generating Wayleave payments.
  • Dealing with payment queries.
  • Answering queries both verbal and written from Customers, Land Owners and/or their Agents, Solicitors or any other interested party relating to company apparatus on private property.
  • Ensuring Wayleave details are entered on EMU Mapping Systems.
  • Assisting engineering teams in resolving Wayleave issues.

The Ideal Candidate

You should be customer focused, self motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be required when dealing with both internal and external contacts. You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team, using your own initiative and representing the company positively at all times.
